PORTLAND, OR (September 20, 2023) – John’s Marketplace is Oregon’s iconic bottle shop originally established in Multnomah Village in 1999. In 2016, brothers Rob and Paul Petros purchased the store. They opened a second location on the Portland East side in 2020 during the pandemic. This year, they opened their third location in Beaverton. This expansion marks the latest milestone for the Portland natives and they are celebrating with an Open House Weekend October 13 – 15.
John’s Marketplace is arguably the single largest bottle shop in the Pacific Northwest. Their unique model of hospitality, combined with a vast selection of craft beer, wine, cider, mead, sake, functional beverages, zero-proof drinks, craft sodas, and picnic basket foods, has elevated the industry and introduced “craft” to tens of thousands of guests since 1999.
While their reputation was established as the “beer store for everyone,” their mission goes beyond that. They aim to spark curiosity, elevate craft products and cultivate a community which celebrates diversity in drink and food.
The team maintains a carefully curated and ever-changing draft bar, recognized as one of Portland’s finest.
In addition to their vast beverage selection, John’s Marketplace on Hall features a grill serving smashburgers and sandwich favorites created by their team. The store also maintains a carefully curated draft bar, recognized as one of Portland’s finest.
They are thrilled to bring this food and beverage experience to Beaverton and are celebrating with an Open House Weekend from Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 am – 9 pm daily. There will be festivities, discounts and swag, with a focus on sampling Friday 4 – 7 pm, Saturday 2 – 5 pm, and Sunday Noon – 3 pm.
